It was raining heavily this morning which made carrying all your bedding and daily necessities to school a problem. Mom and I had anticipated this and discussed options, so in the moment decided on her calling us a Didi. She helped carry the things to the car too so I could keep you dry. We had a long drive since traffic was naturally horrible, but you were calm and I enjoyed the time. I knew I couldn’t see you in the evening because I had a meeting after school. I had hoped to see you again briefly at dismissal, but grandpa had picked you up a little early. I found you sleeping peacefully when I came to bed and was happy to snuggle beside you.
